Myself
I am a trained sedimentologist and stratigrapher with hands-on expertise in sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, basin analysis and clay mineralogy. From my previous projects, I examined the composition of glauconite as proxy for depositional conditions and sequence stratigraphy, evaluated paleoclimatic control on the formation of glauconite and investigate the temporal variation in composition of authigenic green-silicates. I am presently working on understanding paleoenvironmental constraints on the formation authigenic green-silicates from the Upper Cretaceous of Germany. My future endeavors include linking authigenic clay minerals to sequence stratigraphy, paleoclimatic interpretation of clay minerals, clay typing of hydrocarbon reservoir sandstones, clay mineral characterization of unconventional oil/gas reserves.
